Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour fluffed, spooned & leveled
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons espresso powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted and cooled slightly

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick spray or melted butter.
  • Step 3: In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, espresso powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Step 4: In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Step 6: Fill each donut cavity about two-thirds full with batter.
  • Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 8: Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Step 9: Warm dulce de leche in a saucepan until smooth and pourable.
  • Step 10: Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze.
