  • 1 large flatbread choose your favorite type, such as whole wheat or plain
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese freshly shredded melts best
  • 1 cup Takis chips crushed, regular flavor or your preferred variety
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning a blend of dried oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to crisp the flatbread and melt the cheese evenly without burning the Takis crust.
  • Place the Takis chips in a zip-top bag and gently crush them using a rolling pin or your hands until you have a coarse crumb texture.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to season the flatbread.
  • Place the flatbread on a baking sheet and brush the seasoned olive oil evenly over the surface.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously across the flatbread, covering it well.
  • Evenly spread the crushed Takis chips over the cheese layer and gently press down to help them stick.
  • Bake the flatbread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges are golden brown. Watch carefully to avoid burning the Takis crust.
