Ingredients

  • 1 piece ripe fresh banana cut into chunks (frozen works too)
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries hulled
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (non-fat, low-fat, or whole milk)
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy alternatives like almond milk, oat milk, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients. If using fresh strawberries, wash and hull them first. If using frozen strawberries, skip this step.
  • In your blender, add the banana chunks followed by the frozen strawberries, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey. Adjust honey to your taste if desired.
  • Blend on low speed and gradually increase to high for about 30-45 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if too thick.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if needed. Blend briefly to incorporate.
  • Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. Optionally, top with sliced strawberries or banana.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but note the texture may change.
  • For meal prep, portion ingredients into freezer bags for easy blending later.
  • Add spinach or protein powder for extra nutrition!
