Ingredients

For the Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce adjust based on spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

For the Chicken:

  • 8 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken legs or thighs mix and match as preferred
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for searing

Instructions

Directions:

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, ketchup, soy sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
  • Step 2: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Step 3: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Flip and sear the other side for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Step 4: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  • Step 5: Cover the skillet and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 6: Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce if desired. Serve hot with the remaining sauce drizzled over the chicken.
