Ingredients

  • 2 lbs large shrimp (21-24 count) peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp salt for seasoning the cooking water
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp butter plus more to grease the pan
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 4 oz shredded medium cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp
    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt. Once boiling, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain and set aside to cool.
  • Step 2: Mix the Base
    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Stir until blended.
  • Step 3: Combine Ingredients
    Chop the cooled shrimp into bite-sized pieces and fold into the mayonnaise mixture until coated evenly.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the casserole dish with butter. Pour the shrimp mixture into the dish, spreading evenly.
  • Step 5: Add the Cheese and Topping
    Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the shrimp mixture. Scatter panko breadcrumbs on top and dot with butter.
  • Step 6: Bake
    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Step 7: Serve and Enjoy
    Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with a fresh salad or crusty bread.
