Ingredients

For the Blondies:

  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

Directions:

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven - Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your blondies will bake evenly.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Baking Pan - Grease your 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. If you’re using parchment paper, leave some overhang for easy removal later.
  • Step 3: Cream the Butter and Sugar - In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and packed brown sugar. Use your whisk to cream them together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Step 4: Add the Egg and Vanilla - Next, crack in the large egg and pour in the vanilla extract. Whisk again until these are fully incorporated into the butter and sugar mixture.
  • Step 5: Incorporate the Dry Ingredients - Sprinkle the kosher salt and all-purpose flour into the bowl. Use your spatula to gently fold the flour into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  • Step 6: Add the Salted Caramel Sauce - Drizzle in the salted caramel sauce and fold it into the blondie batter. This will create those delightful pockets of caramel throughout.
  • Step 7: Pour into the Baking Pan - Pour the blondie batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly with your spatula.
  • Step 8: Bake - Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Step 9: Cool and Serve - Once baked, remove the blondies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut them into squares and enjoy!
