  • 1 sheet Puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 small wheel Brie cheese
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 cups Fresh cranberries
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Minced jalapeno

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Cranberry Sauce - Rinse the cranberries under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and jalapeno. Stir over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • Step 2: Preheat the Oven - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Step 3: Roll Out the Puff Pastry - On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Step 4: Wrap the Brie - Place the brie in the center of the pastry, spoon the cranberry mixture on top, and fold the pastry edges over the brie, pinching to seal.
  • Step 5: Brush with Egg Wash - Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.
  • Step 6: Bake the Brie - Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Step 7: Serve and Enjoy - Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices or crackers.
