Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Divided
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 58 oz Tomato Sauce Two 29 oz. cans
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 2 tsp Dried Basil
  • 12-15 pieces Lasagna Noodles Cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Sliced Pepperoni Or your favorite pizza toppings
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Step 1: In a large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped yellow onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Step 2: Pour in the two cans of tomato sauce, and stir in the salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Step 3: While the sauce simmers, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 4: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the dish.
  • Step 5: Start with a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by a generous amount of sauce, mozzarella cheese, and your choice of toppings. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and cheese on top.
  • Step 6: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Step 7: Allow the Pizza Lasagna to rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
