Ingredients

For the Fries:

  • 1 recipe pommes frites (providing crispy texture)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup white truffle oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Preparation Steps:

  • Start by peeling and cutting your potatoes into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Soaking the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes helps to remove excess starch, ensuring they turn out crispy.
  • In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
  • Carefully add the soaked and drained potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the fries using a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the hot fries with the grated Parmesan cheese, white truffle oil, and a sprinkle of sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Toss until they are evenly coated.
  • Transfer the fries to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve immediately and enjoy your Parmesan Truffle Fries while they are hot!

Equipment

  • Large pot or deep fryer
  • Slotted spoon or spider
  • Paper Towels
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Serving Platter

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use an air fryer instead of frying in oil.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes to restore crispiness.
