Ingredients

For the Chicken Nuggets:

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Step 2: In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: In the first bowl, place the flour mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper. In the second bowl, beat the egg until well mixed. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Step 3: Take each piece of chicken and first dip it into the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the egg, allowing any extra to drip off. Finally, roll the chicken in the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs stick. Place each coated nugget on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Step 4: Once all the chicken pieces are coated, drizzle the olive oil over the nuggets.
  • Step 5: Bake the chicken nuggets in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  • Step 6: Once baked, remove the nuggets from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy!
