Choose ripe and sweet strawberries for best results.

Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
Step 2: Rinse the strawberries under cold water, hull them, and slice them evenly about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 3: In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with sugar if desired.
Step 4: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the strawberries in a single layer.
Step 5: Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the strawberries dry for about 2 to 3 hours.
Step 6: Once dried, remove from the oven and let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
