Ingredients

  • 180 g Nutella (approx. 3/4 US cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 140 g all-purpose flour (approx. 1 US cup)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnuts (chopped, optional)
  • 6 tablespoons Nutella for filling

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine 180g of Nutella, the egg, and 140g of all-purpose flour. Mix until well combined.
  • Step 4: Scoop out a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Step 5: Press down in the center of each cookie to create a thumbprint.
  • Step 6: Fill each thumbprint with about 1 teaspoon of Nutella.
  • Step 7: Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Step 8: Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
