Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons DeLallo instant espresso powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup Nutella melted and cooled
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crisped rice cereal

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease your 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, salt, and baking soda.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the melted and cooled Nutella until well incorporated, then mix in the chocolate chips.
  • Add the crisped rice cereal and fold it into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Once baked, cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
