Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup Nutella
  • 1 large Egg at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Mini chocolate chips plus extra for topping
  • Flake sea salt for sprinkling on top, if desired

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and fine sea salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add Nutella, the egg, and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips using a spatula.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
