Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 tablespoons coffee-flavored syrup as an alternative to Kahlua
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture - Start by placing the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Add the granulated sugar and use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it is creamy and smooth.
  • Step 2: Fold in the Heavy Cream - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula.
  • Step 3: Add the Coffee Flavored Syrup and Cocoa Powder - Add the coffee-flavored syrup and unsweetened cocoa powder to the cream cheese and whipped cream mixture. Carefully fold until well combined.
  • Step 4: Prepare the Berries - Wash your mixed berries thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry and set aside. Slice the strawberries if they are large.
  • Step 5: Layer the Parfait - In serving glasses, start by adding a layer of the chocolate mousse mixture, followed by a layer of mixed berries. Repeat until glasses are full.
  • Step 6: Chill and Serve - Cover the parfaits with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder before serving.
