Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 6 pieces hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup hummus
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chives, chopped

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Start by hard-boiling your eggs. Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit for about 12 minutes. Once done, transfer them to an ice bath to cool. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  • In a mixing bowl, scoop out the yolks of the hard-boiled eggs and place them in the bowl. Add in the hummus, mustard, horseradish, lemon juice, turmeric, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Using a fork, mash the yolks and mix until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Using a spoon, carefully fill each egg white half with the delicious hummus mixture. You can be generous with the filling—it’s the best part!
  • Finish off your Mayo-Free Deviled Eggs with a sprinkle of smoked paprika and a sprinkle of chopped chives for a touch of freshness and color.
