Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine noodles

Seafood

  • 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and tails removed

Butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter

Garlic

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Lemon

  • 1 each juice of lemon
  • 1 each zest of lemon

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Step 2: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  • Step 3: Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and add lemon zest. Stir to combine.
  • Step 4: Toss in the drained fettuccine, mixing well with the shrimp and sauce. Add reserved pasta water gradually if needed for consistency.
  • Step 5: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately with extra lemon wedges if desired.
