Ingredients

  • 4-6 oz Salmon Fillets Fresh or frozen, good quality
  • 3-4 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin recommended
  • Greek Seasoning Blend of herbs and spices (oregano, thyme, garlic powder)

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Full-fat for best texture
  • 1 medium cucumber Grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • Salt To taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill Chopped

Instructions

Stepwise Method: Greek Salmon with Tzatziki Sauce

  • Step 1: Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped dill. Mix well and season with salt to taste. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Step 2: Marinate the Salmon. In another bowl, drizzle the salmon fillets with olive oil and sprinkle generously with Greek seasoning. Make sure each fillet is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes for the flavors to infuse.
  • Step 3: Cook the Salmon. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down (if the fillets have skin). Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Step 4: Serve. Remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the salmon fillets on plates alongside a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
