Ingredients

  • 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups Honey Nut Chex cereal
  • 2/3 cup vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  • Begin by placing the semi-sweet chocolate, natural peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, and vanilla extract in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the mixture in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until everything is melted and smooth. This step usually takes about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the Honey Nut Chex cereal. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold with a rubber spatula until the cereal is evenly coated.
  • Next, sprinkle the vanilla protein powder over the chocolate-coated cereal. Gently fold the mixture again until the protein powder is well incorporated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly across the sheet. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until it’s set.
  • Once cooled, break the Gluten-Free Protein Puppy Chow into pieces. Store them in an airtight container, and enjoy your delicious, protein-packed snack!
