  • 1 cup water for generating steam

  • Start by washing the russet potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Using a fork, poke several holes in each potato.
  • Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • Using a trivet or a steamer basket, place the potatoes in the Instant Pot above the water.
  • Spray the skins lightly with olive oil spray and sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing position.
  • Select the manual or pressure cook setting and adjust the time to 12-15 minutes.
  • Once cooking is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for about 10 minutes before performing a quick release.
  • Carefully remove the potatoes from the pot and let them cool for a minute before serving.
