Ingredients

  • 400 g sugar
  • 165 g butter
  • 250 ml cream
  • Maldon salt to taste

Instructions

  • Start by measuring out your sugar, butter, and cream. Having everything ready will ensure a smooth cooking process.
  • In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, add the 400g of sugar. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula until it melts into a smooth, amber liquid.
  • Once the sugar reaches a deep amber color, carefully add the 165g of butter and stir until fully melted and incorporated.
  • Slowly drizzle in the 250ml of cream while stirring constantly until everything is combined.
  • Remove from heat and add Maldon salt to taste. Adjust according to your preference.
  • Let the caramel cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a heatproof container. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or at room temperature for a week.
