Instructions

Instructions:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add your choice of ground beef, turkey, or chicken. Once browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes. Sprinkle in your taco seasoning and follow the package instructions, adding a bit of water if necessary. Stir to combine and let simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  • While the meat is cooking, wash and chop your romaine or iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place it in a large mixing bowl. Add the sliced green onions, halved cherry tomatoes, and black beans. Toss gently to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the Easy Creamy Taco Salad Dressing ingredients until smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste. If you want it a bit thinner, add a splash of water or lime juice.
  • Once the meat mixture is ready, let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad bowl. Drizzle with the creamy dressing and toss everything together until well coated. Top with shredded cheese, crushed Doritos, pickled red onions, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick!
