0.25cupsGranulated SugarFor the cranberry mixture
0.5tspGround Cinnamon

0.5cupsFresh Pomegranate Seeds

0.33cupsDark Chocolate Chunks or Chips

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cranberry Mixture. Combine cranberries, water, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until the berries burst and the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly before adding pomegranate seeds.
Step 2: Make the Batter. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Slowly add self-rising flour and buttermilk, mixing gently until just combined. Fold in dark chocolate chunks.
Step 3: Assemble the Cobbler. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spoon cranberry-pomegranate mixture over the top without stirring.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. The edges should be crispy while the center remains soft.
Step 5: Add The Final Touches. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes. Optionally, sprinkle with sparkling sugar before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Equipment
Medium Saucepan
Large Mixing Bowl
9x13 inch Baking Dish
Notes
For a sweeter cobbler, add more sugar to the cranberry mixture. Letting the cobbler cool slightly before serving will make it easier to cut.
