In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
Stir in 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped chives or green onions, pressed garlic, lemon juice, hot sauce, and Old Bay seasoning until well incorporated.
Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
Spoon the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with reserved chives or green onions, and serve warm with dippers.
