Ingredients

For the Chips:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat is best, but any kind will work)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite variety)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour (or any flour of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (or chili powder for a kick)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • Optional: fresh herbs or spices of your choice

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your chips will bake evenly and get that perfect crunch.
  • Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will help prevent the chips from sticking and make cleanup a cinch.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, shredded cheese, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended. The mixture should be thick and somewhat sticky.
  • Step 4: Using a spatula, spread the cottage cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer, about 1/4 inch thick. To achieve crispiness, try to make it as uniform as possible.
  • Step 5: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is firm. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning!
  • Step 6: Once baked, remove the chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then, use a knife or pizza cutter to slice them into your desired chip shape.
  • Step 7: Serve your Cottage Cheese Chips warm or let them cool completely before storing them for later. They pair wonderfully with dips or can be enjoyed on their own.
