Ingredients

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, pour the cup of heavy whipping cream. Warm it over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil, as boiling can change the texture of the dip.
  • Once the cream is hot, remove it from the heat. Immediately add the 12 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the saucepan. Allow them to sit for a minute to soften.
  • Using a whisk, gently stir the mixture until the chocolate chips have completely melted and the dip is smooth and glossy. This is where the magic happens!
  • Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the melted chocolate mixture. This enhances the flavor and adds a lovely aroma to your dip.
  • Pour the chocolate dip into a serving bowl. You can serve it warm for a gooey experience, or let it cool slightly to thicken up. Pair it with your favorite dippables such as fruits, cookies, or pretzels.

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Serving Bowl
  • Spatula

Notes

  • For an extra touch of flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness of the chocolate dip.
  • Experiment with toppings! Sprinkle crushed nuts, sprinkles, or a drizzle of caramel over the dip for added texture.
  • If you want a thicker dip, let it cool in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to reach your desired consistency.
