Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese regular or light, at room temperature
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 can cherry pie filling or half a batch (about 2 cups)
  • graham cracker or vanilla wafer crumbs for garnish (optional)
  • dippers graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, apple slices, strawberries, or other fruit or cookies

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. This will be the base of your dip, so ensure there are no lumps.
  • Next, add the plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream) and powdered sugar to the bowl. Mix until fully combined, and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour in the vanilla extract and mix again until everything is well incorporated. This step adds a lovely depth of flavor to the dip.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. This will give the dip a light, airy texture.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream, as this gives the dip its delightful fluffiness.
  • Once the dip is fluffy and well combined, gently stir in the cherry pie filling. You can either mix it in or leave it swirled for a beautiful presentation.
  • Transfer the Cherry Cheesecake Dip to a serving bowl. For an extra touch, sprinkle some graham cracker or vanilla wafer crumbs on top. Serve with your choice of dippers like graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or fresh fruit.
