Ingredients

For the Fondue:

  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch divided
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese shredded
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Steps to Make Cheese Fondue:

  • In a medium bowl, toss the shredded Gruyere and white cheddar cheese with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch to prevent clumping.
  • In a saucepan, combine the chicken broth and remaining 2 teaspoons of cornstarch. Whisk in the tablespoon of milk to create a slurry.
  • Over medium heat, bring the chicken broth mixture to a gentle simmer while stirring continuously.
  • Gradually add the cheese mixture, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, garlic powder, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  • Transfer the melted cheese to your fondue pot and serve with dippables.
