  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp crushed red chile flakes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 4 cloves garlic smashed into a paste
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh chives

Instructions

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, olive oil, crushed red chile flakes, dried oregano, and the smashed garlic paste. Use a spatula to mix everything together until well blended.
  • Add kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to the garlic butter mixture, adjusting the seasoning to your taste.
  • Take your sliced baguette and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet. Use the spatula to generously spread the garlic butter mixture over both halves of the baguette.
  • Once your garlic butter is spread evenly, sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the garlic bread for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, sprinkle finely chopped fresh chives over the top for a burst of color and flavor. Slice it into pieces and serve warm.
