6ouncesamen noodles, crumbled
2cupshot water
½cupbeef broth
1cupwhite rice
¼cupcanned black beans, drained & rinsed
1tbsponion flakes
2tspgranulated garlic
1cupfreeze-dried bell peppers

Step 2: Carefully pour in the hot water and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
Step 3: Add the white rice, along with a touch of salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently to ensure the rice is evenly distributed.
Step 4: Sprinkle in the onion flakes and granulated garlic. Stir again to combine everything well.
Step 5: Stir in the freeze-dried bell peppers. They will plump up beautifully as the pilaf cooks.
Step 6: Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes.
Step 7: Once the rice is cooked, gently fluff it with a fork and fold in the black beans.
