Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Honey Mustard Glaze:

  • ¾ cup whole grain mustard
  • ¾ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce optional
  • Freshly chopped chives for garnish optional

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven. Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is key for achieving crispy wings.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Chicken Wings. In a large mixing bowl, combine the trimmed chicken wings with canola oil, Kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss them until they are evenly coated.
  • Step 3: Make the Honey Mustard Glaze. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole grain mustard, honey, and hot sauce (if using) until well combined. This glaze is what makes the wings irresistible.
  • Step 4: Coat the Wings. Pour about half of the honey mustard glaze over the chicken wings. Toss to coat thoroughly, ensuring each wing gets a good amount of the sauce.
  • Step 5: Arrange on Baking Sheet. If you have a wire rack, place it on your baking sheet. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the rack or directly on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Step 6: Bake. Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through. When the wings are golden brown, remove them from the oven.
  • Step 7: Glaze Again. Brush the remaining honey mustard glaze over the wings and return them to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Step 8: Garnish and Serve. Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped chives before serving.
