  • 1 tablespoon Milk

Instructions

Stepwise Method: Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese Danish

  • Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Toss them in a bowl with lemon juice, brown sugar, and flour. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out thawed puff pastry into a 12x10 inch rectangle. Cut into 6 equal squares or rectangles.
  • Place puff pastry squares on a lined baking sheet. Spread cream cheese filling evenly on each, leaving borders. Arrange apple slices on top.
  • Whisk egg and milk together. Brush exposed pastry edges with egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes until puff pastry is golden and apples are tender.
  • Cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
