Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe plantain peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch thick pieces
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • to taste sea salt

Instructions

Instructions

  • Begin by peeling the plantain. Cut off both ends and score the skin lengthwise to make it easier to peel. Slice the plantain into diagonal pieces, about 1/2 inch thick.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the sliced plantains, avocado oil, and a pinch of sea salt. Toss until well coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the coated plantain slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • After 10 minutes, check for doneness. If needed, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with more sea salt if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
