  • 2 breasts chicken cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced, divided
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes divided (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano or 1/2 teaspoon dried
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly. Then, cut them into 1-inch pieces, ensuring they are roughly the same size for even cooking. Next, take your chicken breasts and cut them into 1-inch pieces as well.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken and potatoes. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (if using), oregano, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the chicken and potatoes are well coated in the seasoning mixture.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This step is crucial to ensure your chicken and potatoes cook evenly and achieve that crispy texture.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned chicken and potatoes in the air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket for the best results. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • In the last 5 minutes of cooking, drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the chicken and potatoes. Add the last 2 minced garlic cloves, the remaining teaspoon of smoked paprika, and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt. This will enhance the flavor and give everything a nice golden finish.
  • Make sure the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). The potatoes should be tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
